History of guiness world records

The Guinness Book of World Records, is a book published annually. It was created by Craig Glenday in 1955.
The Guinness Book of Records was released for the first time in 1955 at the initiative of the British Norris and Ross McWhirter, as a result of an idea of Hugh Beaver Irish brewer Guinness.
During a hunt, Sir Hugh Beaver saw a bird pass and was impressed by its speed. On the evening, with his friends in a pub, they had a discussion on the bird that Sir Hugh Beaver had seen on the afternoon, thinking that it was maybe the fastest bird in the world. After this discussion, they decided to make an inventory of fastest, heaviest, etc animals .
In 1999 it became The Guinness World Records.
